The all new Crypton class IV automatic test lane will be exhibited at this years Automotive Trade Show.
This exciting new MoT test station is approved by VOSA (vehicle and operator standards agency) for
one man use and promises to revolutionise the way MoT's are carried out.

The automatic test lane will come as standard with the following components:

CBT 6500P Roller Brake Tester with a choice of pedestal or wall mounted display
and bi?directional rollers for four wheel drive vehicle testing.

Weighing facility, electronically linked to the brake tester.

3.6 tonne scissor lift with "shaker" plate - wheel play detectors, complete with 1.5 tonne manual operated jacking beam.
Note: The scissor lift is a stronger construction and is more resistant to damage from the action of the "Shaker" plates.
- Brake pedal application device.
- Suitable mirrors so that all relevant lighting operations can be assessed from the drivers position.
- HLA2400 ? MoT approved headlamp aligner complete with 3.6m of rail, meeting new specifications for headlamp aligners set down in May 2005.

Applying For Automatic Test Lane Approval
To use the new crypton automatic test lane you must apply for VOSA approval by submitting a VT01 form to your local VOSA office. The VT01

The crypton automatic test lane meets all the other requirements for ATL approval, to be ATL approved the site must have:
- A fully automated brake tester.
- A weighing facility electronically linked to the brake tester.
- Wheel play detectors.
- A brake pedal application device.
- Suitable mirrors so positioned that all relevant lighting operations can be assessed from the driving position.
- A headlamp aim tester meeting the 2005 specification.
- All other equipment as specified in the current MOT Testing Guide for the Class(es) of vehicle to be tested.
